What’s Included?
The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship covers the following benefits for successful recipients:

- Monthly stipend: HUF 43,700 for Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes; HUF 140,000 for Doctoral programmes
- Accommodation: Student dormitory placement or a monthly housing allowance of HUF 40,000 per month

Eligibility

How to Apply
The application process for the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship involves two parallel applications:
- Contact the sending partner organisation (usually the Ministry of Education or equivalent) in your home country to confirm eligibility and obtain the national pre-registration or nomination requirements.
- Register and apply through the Stipendium Hungaricum online application system at stipendiumhungaricum.hu/apply/ within the application window.
- Simultaneously apply to the chosen Hungarian university or universities through their own admissions portal, submitting all required academic documents (transcripts, diplomas, language certificates, motivation letter, references, etc.).
- Await notification of the scholarship decision (typically May–June) and university admission offer.
- If selected, complete any required pre-departure procedures and travel to Hungary for the commencement of studies (typically September).
