Our founder, Abdillahi Aden Hassan, built this platform based on his own journey. With a background in Finance, Business Intelligence, and Data Science, Hassan understands how to engineer complex, data-driven solutions. More importantly, as a proud recipient of both the prestigious Türkiye Bursları and Erasmus+ scholarships, he intimately understands the profound impact that a fully funded educational opportunity can have on a student’s life.
We are a dynamic, agile EdTech platform operating out of Galway, Ireland. We combine the strategic precision of data architecture with a deeply empathetic understanding of the international student experience. We exist because we believe that finding the right scholarship shouldn’t require luck or endless scrolling—it should simply require the right search engine.

The seeds of Scholarship Guru were planted not in a boardroom, but through firsthand global experience. Our founder, Hassan, successfully navigated the complex world of international funding to become a dual-recipient of the highly competitive Türkiye Bursları and Erasmus+ scholarships. This journey proved the life-changing power of global education, but it also exposed a deeply flawed system: finding legitimate funding was chaotic, overwhelming, and fragmented.
The goal was to abandon the outdated “blog” format entirely and build a dynamic, relational database, an intelligent search engine that could instantly filter complex global opportunities.
We have successfully centralized and vetted our first major cohort of premier government scholarships, fellowships, and grants.
