OVERVIEW
The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), an international financial institution funded by member governments, offers scholarship programmes to students from IsDB member countries and Muslim communities in non-member countries. The programmes are available for undergraduate through PhD levels across multiple fields.
PROGRAMME TYPES
IsDB Merit Scholarship Programme for High Technology:
- For postgraduate studies (Master’s and PhD) in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM)
- Studies at universities within IsDB member countries or selected non-member countries
IsDB-IRTI Islamic Economics Scholarship:
- Specifically for postgraduate studies in Islamic economics and finance
IsDB Undergraduate Scholarship:
- For undergraduate students from least developed or low-income IsDB member countries
Cooperative Scholarship Programmes:
- Joint programmes with partner countries and institutions

- Research/thesis allowance (for postgraduate)
HOW TO APPLY?
- Apply through the IsDB member country’s Ministry of Education or the IsDB country office
- Applications are submitted online through the IsDB scholarship portal
- Application period: typically October–January each year
