OVERVIEW
The government of Hong Kong has established a fund to support foreign students pursuing education at all levels in Hong Kong. The Hong Kong Scholarship for Excellence Scheme (HKSES) and other government-funded scholarship programmes aim to attract outstanding non-local students to study in Hong Kong’s universities.
WHAT’S INCLUDED?
- Main scholarship: HKD 80,000 per year for non-local students
- Sub-degree program scholarships: HKD 20,000–30,000 per year for qualifying programs
- Available for full-time publicly-funded programs at all levels at participating institutions
HOW TO APPLY?
- Participating universities nominate students for the scholarship – you cannot apply directly
- Contact the participating institution directly and check their official site for nomination procedures
